Midcentury modern interior design is fundamentally rooted in functionality, clean lines, and simplicity. It is a fusion of different textures and materials, both raw and manmade in a retro style. Colour was a major component to midcentury modern style, using bold accents such as to emphasize the retro side of the design while using primary neutral tones to balance it out. Therefore, to keep to the theme, the colour palette used were primarily black, grey and emerald green as the accent colour, also inpired by the client’s emerald dress. To incorporate modern pieces staged with vintage pieces, things like the daimon-cut knurled knobs and handles were used consistently in the home.

This home was design for a condo unit and our clients were a couple who has a pet dog, therefore we had to make the home pet-friendly! They wanted a home that reflected their lifestyle and preferences so we designed this home accordingly. There was a complete renovation of their kitchen to provide a spacious kitchen for the couple to cook in, functionality was kept in mind as well as aesthetics. The master bathroom is the most important room in the house. It is where you would prepare for the day, unwind after work and it’s where you spend a lot of your time. A complete overhaul of the master bathroom was done by following some simple design consistency, we created an inviting space that reflects their personalities while still maintaining the chic interior design style.
